Calculation assumptions
Monthly tax uses AY 2026–27 new-regime salary-only estimates, ₹75,000 standard deduction and applicable rebate, surcharge and cess. Actual payroll may differ. Current DA starts at an editable 60% assumption; verify your applicable order. Both scenarios use the same tax model. Allowances and deductions must match your eligibility.

Three steps to a clearer estimate
1. Set your pay. Select the level and basic pay from your payslip.
2. Try a scenario. Adjust fitment, DA, HRA and transport. All projected rates are editable.
3. Compare the outcome. Review earnings, pension deductions and tax before printing your estimate.
Are these official salary figures?
No. This tool compares user-defined scenarios. Confirm the applicable rules and approved rates with your department.
Salary Calculator FAQs
How is revised basic pay estimated?
Multiply your current basic pay by the factor you select. For example, INR 18,000 multiplied by 2.28 gives INR 41,040. This is a scenario value, not a revised pay-matrix cell.
Can I change HRA, DA and transport?
Yes. Open Customize allowances & deductions. Set each scenario separately, including zero where an allowance does not apply. Changing city class resets both HRA inputs to that city preset.
Does OPS mean no deductions?
No. The OPS selection removes the percentage-based pension contribution in this model. Enter your GPF and any other payroll deductions separately.
Why can take-home differ from my payslip?
This simplified model excludes individual payroll rules and other income. Tax uses the disclosed AY 2026-27 model. Check every assumption against your payslip before using the comparison.
